MINISTRY OF HOSPITALITY OF THE END DAYS
b’acharit ha-yamim Hachnasat Orchim
Hospitality – Hospitality was regarded by most nations of the ancient world as one of the chief virtues. The Jewish laws respecting strangers (Leviticus 19:33,34) and the poor, (Leviticus 23:14) seq. Deuteronomy 15:7 And concerning redemption (Leviticus 25:23) seq. , etc. Are framed in accordance with the ruach/spirit of hospitality. In the law compassion to strangers is constantly enforced by the words “for ye were strangers in the land of Mitsrayim/Egypt. ” (Leviticus 19:34) And before the law, Avraham’s entertainment of the angels, (Genesis 18:1) seq. , and Lot’s, (Genesis 19:1) are in exact agreement with its precepts, and with modern usage. Comp. (Exodus 2:20; Judges 13:15; 19:17,20,21) In the New Covenant hospitality is yet more markedly enjoined; and in the more civilized state of society which then prevailed, its exercise became more a social virtue than a necessity of patriarchal life. The good Samaritan stands for all ages as an example of Follower’s of the Way/Believer’s hospitality. The neglect of Yahusha HaMasciach is symbolized by inhospitality to our neighbors. (Matthew 25:43) The apostles urged the early Church to “follow after hospitality,” (Romans 12:13) cf. (1Tim 5:10) To remember Avraham’s example, (Hebrews 13:2) to “use hospitality one to another without grudging,” (1 Peter 4:9) while a bishop must be a “lover of hospitality “(Titus 1:8) cf. (1Tim 3:2) The practice of the early Follower’s of the Way was in accord with these precepts. They had all things in common (aka common union) and their hospitality was a characteristic of their belief. In the patriarchal ages we may take Avraham’s example as the most fitting, as we have of it the fullest account. “The account,” says, “of Avraham’s entertaining the three angels related in the WORD of YAH, presents a perfect picture of the manner in which a modern Bedawee sheikh receives travelers arriving at his encampment. ” The Oriental respect for the covenant of bread and salt, or salt alone, certainly sprang from the high regard in which hospitality was held. Hospitality is a sacred duty. Historically Hebrews were a very hospitable people. Guests in ancient times believed to be sent by Elohim Yahuah. Therefore whenever a person was traveling or living as a nomad, they would be directed to stay with either relatives or other Hebrews. Being hospitable was just what people did, they had a reverent fear of Yahuah, truly believed that if a person came to their home as a guest that YAH sent this person to them at that time for a reason. There was purpose in their visit. They would prepare a place for the guest along with a gracious meal for them.
Being hospitable today has become a stench in people’s homes. People of today are cold & rigid and oftentimes the thought of having a guest(s) interrupts the person or the family’s private/personal life, their plans, and their time. One of the things that YAHUAH told me in 2020 was to inconvenience myself for others. I do admit I did not do a very good job doing so, but I did try and will continue to work toward what HE told me to do. YAH specifically told me to be intentionally hospitable to others whether a fellow Hebrew or not, to ALL PERIOD! This was a perpetual WORD from ABBA YAH to me. I am taking it very seriously. The consequences of disobedience are far worse than being hospitable to an enemy.
YAH is going to gather HIS people and oftentimes during the gathering many will be required to travel from place to place by the leading of the Ruach HaKodesh or even by YAH’s Angels. HE will send many Natsarim from place to place during the coming “hard times” , these homes or locations of refuge will be places of safety and security on the way to where HE is leading one. We know that we are commanded to walk in Ruach and in Truth, and it is in this manner that the Ruach HaKodesh will lead many to safety and keep them from being taken captive and or even death.
Our ancestors of the ancient days knew how to help one another. It is time we learn how to live as they did and return to this ancient path. The Patriarchs of old had characteristics that we do not have in our time. Especially, those of us in the west. Americans are selfish and stubborn. We have been indoctrinated into a culture of selfish ambition. Many of us simply do not know how to be truly hospitable. Sure we know how to be kind and if someone is in need and we can help we do. Yet, if it causes us to “not have” or “sacrifice” in order to help another we do not help. I am so greatful to YAH who has compassion on us and to the Ruach HaKodesh who corrects and gently redirects. YAH is restoring our hearts and minds to that of our ancestors. Now it is time for us to exercise our hospitality muscles. Among other things! It is time to return to the ancient path of sacred hospitality. Natsarim, it is our duty to obey what I am sharing with you; failure to obey could mean being cut off from the rest or even death. YAH’s commands are LOVE YAH & LOVE our NEIGHBOR!
The sum of hasatan’s end days mission is this; hasatan’s primary mission is division and separation of YAH’s children. he knows his time is short and it is his rage that fuels the war on the saints to steal, kill, destroy and keep divided YAH’s people! Common Union of the Natsarim is a place of deep relationships, revelation and renewal. Let’s define what common union really means: communion is in the Greek= a partnership/ participation/ to communicate/distribution fellowship. It is in fellowship with one another that cleanses us, we are washed in the waters of compassion, truth, and love. Common Union is commonness of purpose. We remember all Yahusha does for us! HE died for us, HE cleanses us from all unrighteousness, HE forgives all our iniquities, HE heals us from all dis-eases, HE clothes us in garments (linen/wool) of salvation, HE crowns us with loving kindness and tender mercies, HE calls us brethren. We become heirs to the throne.

Enemies as Guests
It is time to be like tent dwellers!
Like the front section of a Bedouin Tent the entrance where one eats and dines is usually also the guest apartment. It is both a dining room and a sleeping quarters. We can reference this in Bereshiyth 18:1-10
And יהוה appeared to him by the terebinth trees of Mamrĕ, while he was sitting in the tent door in the heat of the day. So he lifted his eyes and looked, and saw three men standing opposite him. And when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground, and said, “יהוה, if I have now found favour in Your eyes, please do not pass Your servant by. “Please let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree. “And let me bring a piece of bread and refresh your hearts, and then go on, for this is why you have come to your servant.” And they said, “Do as you have said.” So Aḇraham ran into the tent to Sarah and said, “Hurry, make ready three measures of fine flour, knead it and make cakes.” And Aḇraham ran to the herd, took a tender and good calf, gave it to a young man, and he hurried to prepare it. And he took curds and milk and the calf which he had prepared, and set it before them, and he stood by them under the tree as they ate. And they said to him, “Where is Sarah your wife?” And he said, “See, in the tent.” And He said, “I shall certainly return to you according to the time of life, and see, Sarah your wife is to have a son!” And Sarah was listening in the tent door which was behind him.
Our homes are to be homes of tikvah/hope, homes of ahavah/love, homes of shalom/peace. When I say “home” it can be anywhere where 2 or more are gathered together for a time. We know that just as the Jews and Christians in Europe during WW2, found themselves in a matter of months moved and displaced or hiding in walls and basements together. Life for them was suddenly changed. It happened so fast, this will happen for us the same way. I have spoken many times about YAH forming the Underground Railroad in Amerika. This will be a narrow road of survival for many. It will require many Natsarim across the country to open their homes, farms, basements, storage buildings, and businesses in hospitality to strangers.
Hospitality was not only culturally expected in ancient times, it was divinely commanded. Repeatedly in the Old Covenant Law, strangers were to be kindly treated and warmly accepted.
The stranger who resides with you shall be to you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were aliens in the land of Mitsraiym/Egypt: I am YAHUAH your ELOHIM. Lev. 19:34
And the Levite, because he has no portion or inheritance among you, and the alien, the orphan and the widow who are in your town, shall come and eat and be satisfied, in order that YAHUAH your ELOHIM may baruk you in all the work of your hand which you do. Deut. 14:29
Hospitality is more than sharing a meal. Greetings were always down in a certain way. One would approach the guest and say, “Salam Alakun!” “Peace be on you!” and the guest would respond with, “Wa alakum es-salam!” “And on you peace!” We can see this custom even in the days of Yahusha and His disciples in Luke 10: 5-6.
And whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ “And if indeed a son of peace is there, your peace shall rest on it; and if not, it shall return to you.
Another custom was the kissing on the cheek. There are many references in the WORD for this so I will list a few and you can look them up for yourself. Gen. 27:27, 33:4, 45:15, 48:10, Exodus 4:27, 18:7, 1 Sam. 20:41, Luke 15:20, Acts 20:37.
In Exodus 3:4-6, we can see how the custom of taking off your shoes upon entering a home was established by YAHUAH himself.
And יהוה saw that he turned aside to see, and Elohim called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Mosheh! Mosheh!” And he said, “Here I am.” And He said, “Do not come near here. Take your sandals off your feet, for the place on which you are standing is set-apart ground.” And He said, “I am the Elohim of your father, the Elohim of Aḇraham, the Elohim of Yitsḥaq, and the Elohim of Ya‛aqoḇ.” And Mosheh hid his face, for he was afraid to look at Elohim.
Next, a guest was always offered water.
Gen. 24:17-18 “And the servant ran to meet her and said, “Please let me drink a little water from your jar.” And she said, “Drink, my master.” And she hurried and let her jar down to her hand, and gave him a drink.”
Mark 9:41 “For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My Name, because you are of Messiah, truly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.”
Deeper Things-Serving A Meal
Bread & Salt- Syrian custom even in ancient times was that a person on an important mission will not eat bread or salt from his host until first the purpose of his mission is made known. We can see this in Gen. 24:32-34
“So the man came into the house, while he unloaded the camels and provided straw and fodder for the camels and water to wash his feet and the feet of the men who were with him, and set food before him to eat. But he said, “Let me not eat until I have spoken my word.” And he said, “Speak on.” And he said, “I am Aḇraham’s servant.”
Once the reason for the visit is said or the purpose of needing shelter as a sojouner, explained then the meal would be offered. Often times the meals consisted of bread, honey, grape molasses, fruit, and salt just to name a few foods. The dipping of the bread into the honey and giving it to the guest means, “we are now brethren“. They would say, “we have bread and salt between us—we are allies and brothers.”
Guest was always made lord of the house. It was an invitation of love. It was an honor to have a guest so from the point of arrival to departure the guest was given full priority. If you were a guest in someone’s home privacy was not expected in ancient times. He does not need privacy at night, because he sleeps with his clothes on. He is happy to have others sleep with him. If a sleeping place is assigned to him in an upper room, then some of the family sons sleep alongside of him that he might have their companionship.
In ancient times, a guest was also guaranteed protection from the host and his family while with them. They would pledge over a meal by the host offering the guest the choicest meat, this act symbolized that the guest was under the protection of the host for as long as he was with them.
The Deception
Just like today, in ancient times some guest were not who they said they were and would deceive the host and his family. This is considered a great sin. Obadiah refers to this sin in Obadiah 1:7: “The men that were at peace with thee have deceived thee . . .” They that eat thy bread have laid a wound under thee”.
King David speaks of this wicked evil as well in Psalm 41:9, “Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me“. And Yahusha quotes this very passage from the Psalms as having its fulfillment in the treachery of Judas the betrayer, who ate at the same table with Him in John 13:18 “I do not speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen, but that the Scripture might be filled, ‘He who eats bread with Me has lifted up his heel against Me.’ We can gain wisdom from these experiences for the future. I have said it before when the Ruach HaKodesh gave me the warning to keep watch for the enemy will place or attempt to place a Judas among us in the coming hard times. Let this be a WARNING to all NATSARIM, first we must exude the Ruach of Ahavah/Love for our neighbor by being hosptitable to those YAH sends our way. Second, keep watch, examine one’s fruit and listen to the discernment of the Ruach HaKodesh. YAH considers the Ministry of Hospitality very important and HE has given us the command to obey. It truly is a life or death command. In the next few post we will look at how hospitality is a hospital of hope and was in the times past and times present and times to come. We Beloveds are being transformed day after day to maturity in returning to the ancient path. We must submit to the work at hand and do it. HALLEUYAH!
